The credential is the machine's identity. Keep it when reinstalling, so the machine stays the same desktop.

What to back up
- Portal: the PostgreSQL database,
/etc/billet, and/var/lib/billet-portal, together. - Relay:
/etc/billet. - Hosts: nothing is required. A machine that loses its credential can be enrolled again as the same desktop. See Upgrade or remove a host.
